Stone Meadow Service Project

This morning a group of Rotarians, conservation commission members and members of the Mill River Union High School Key Club gathered together to install stacked rail fencing at the parking area and entrance to Stone Meadow in Wallingford. Our current Rotary president, Donald Glendenning adopted this as his project during his term. The Rotary provided the financial support for the fencing materials and then also helped with the installation. Here are the before and after photos.

True to the saying that “many hands make light work” we had a great group of volunteers, both Rotarians, Conservation Committee members, community members and high school students who volunteered to make quick work of the installation. Here are some of the pictures of the workers in action….

Finally, here is a picture of the “crew” alongside their completed project. Congratulations and a big thank you to all involved, especially Don whose leadership helped make this service project happen and go smoothly.
