Many thanks to the many hands that helped to make our “Teach Napal Project fundraising dinner last Saturday at the Wallingford Rotary a big success!
As usual, our small but mighty club roared into action to serve more than 60 German Pork dinners and homemade apple desserts to our friends and neighbors on Saturday, January 26th at the Little Red Schoolhouse.
Our MRUHS Interact Club members were at the ready – helping our diners with beverages, clearing and re-setting tables and probably most importantly and very much appreciated by our guests, helping guests get in and out safely — offering a steady hand to help navigate the somewhat slippery sidewalks outside!
With the help of the Rotarians, Interact members and Rotary friends, and thanks to our great community without whom these dinners would not be such a success, we will be able to donate $500 to the Teach Napal Project, to assist with Napalese teacher education programs, furthering the Rotary motto of “service above self”.
Here are some lovely pictures of the evening, with photo credit to our special visiting guest and helper, Guenevere Crum.
