Monthly Archives: September 2016

September meetings

We will be meeting next Monday, September 19 at 7 a.m. for breakfast and then the following Monday, September 26 at 5:30 p.m. for our monthly dinner meeting. Please join us to learn more about Rotary and what it does for our community. $10 for breakfast or dinner, meals provided by the Wallingford Country Store.

Visitors

Since the Wallingford Rotary Club is entrusted with the stewardship of the Paul Harris “little red schoolhouse”, our Rotary club often has the wonderful opportunity to have visiting Rotarians from all over the world stop in for a meeting or a visit. This past Saturday, we were able to open our doors for a little while for a Kansas Rotarian who was visiting the area for a wedding. Chuck Udell from Kansas and I had a great time while he got a quick tour of the little red schoolhouse.

If you are a Rotarian and will be in the “neighborhood” please reach out to us even if you can’t make one of our Monday meetings. If at all possible, one of us will  do our best to try to arrange to meet you at a mutually convenient time and give you the tour. There’s lot of Rotary history to see at the little red schoolhouse and we love to meet our fellow Rotarians!

Stand Up Shakespeare

Our Hungarian exchange student was treated by one our Rotarians to a performance by the New York City Stand Up Shakespeare Company during their performance in Plymouth Notch. Ezsti was joined by two other students who will be one of her host families while she is here in the United States. Here are some pictures from the day.
